Improve Your Reputation

Whether you are a writer, a web designer, an engineer or any professional; you should consider writing about things that you do. This could possibly help to improve your reputation. In fact, this can even be used for your portfolio. Of course, it could also backfire. This is the reason why your blog’s content becomes a key factor in getting a reaction from your audience.

Get Freebies

For bloggers who review products, once you are generating traffic, you can get freebies from companies willing to get their products out there. It is also possible to be paid by companies to have a good review for their services or products. Of course, paid reviews may look dubious to your audience thus; you should not do this regularly.

Writing is a talent that you need to continuously improve. Without practice, your skills could fade. For a web copywriter, it is suggested to set up a blog where you don’t get paid for anything you write. This way, it just ends up as a venue of practice.

Improve the Traffic to Your Main Site

There are instances when blogs are made for SEO purposes, only. Web 2.0 sites could come in handy when building backlinks. In fact, WordPress, Blogger and Tumblr are just some of the great options you can go for if you are planning to set up a link wheel that could generate backlinks. This way, traffic and ranking could be delivered to the main site without a hefty price.

Nowadays, it is ideal to set up a blog whether to express yourself or to make use of these venues to receive monetary compensation or any other perks mentioned. Using Facebook, Twitter and other social media accounts to share content from your blog could easily get reaction from an audience.

  1. Hey great post! I’ve read that a link pyramid of just web 2.0 sites with solid content linking to your money page is what is working these days. I’ve never heard of a link wheel. Have you ever checked out Pat Flynn’s blog? He also has a podcast too. I learn alot from his stuff.
